IPAF LOAD

The loading and unloading of machinery such as mobile elevating working platforms (MEWPs) must be carried out by trained and competent personnel who are aware of the risk of accidents. MEWPs must be safely loaded, secured, and unloaded before and after transportation by road to and from the site of operation. In this training course, you will therefore learn how to safely deliver mobile elevating working platforms.

In a large number of accidents at rental companies, the drivers who deliver the mobile elevating work platforms are involved. In this IPAF Loading & Unloading training course you will learn how to correctly load, secure, and unload MEWPs to avoid the risk of accidents. Drivers must be aware of the risks of accidents associated with a poorly secured load or part of the load while driving. The driver is ultimately responsible for the machines that he transports. It is therefore important that the machines are always secured and transported correctly.

This training course consists of the following contents:

Theory:

• Safety regulations and laws
• Restrictions and use of mobile elevating work platforms
• Identification of control elements, safety devices, and warnings
• Risks associated with the transportation of mobile machines/mobile elevating work platforms
• Risk analysis

Practice:

• Safe parking of the machine
• Safe loading and unloading of the machines
• Correct securing of the machines
