VCA-VOL

As an operational manager there is often a lot on your plate. So it's important that the work is carried out as well as possible, and above all as safely as possible. Nothing is more important than safety, so Collé offer the VCA-VOL health and safety training course for managers. This course ensures that as an operational manager or self-employed person you have the knowledge necessary to work safely in a hazardous environment.

The course is intended for operational managers working at locations where VCA certification is mandatory, mostly at construction sites, petrochemical plants, factories and workshops.   The work in question ranges from construction and maintenance work to installation work.

VCA certified staff are required in mechanical, electrical and civil engineering, in construction and in process control, as well as in technical areas such as insulation work, scaffolding, industrial cleaning, shotblasting, renovation, painting, transport and inspection.

The VCA-VOL qualification naturally demands rather more expertise than the VCA-B course. As well as the standard topics (health and safety legislation and procedures, hazardous substances and personal protective equipment) the course also covers the following topics: knowledge of VCA company certification, the Company Emergency Plan and the organisation of so-called toolbox meetings. It's possible that you may qualify for a subsidy for this course from the Construction Training Fund, OOM. You can check on your sectoral organisation's website or the O&O Fund website to see if you qualify. Records of hours for ccv/code 95 purposes can be provided when the training is requested.

Good to know

Are you self-employed or a freelance? In most circumstances you will then require a VCA-VOL certificate rather than the VCA-B qualification. Our colleagues at the Collé Safety and Training Centre can provide excellent advice on this topic.
