IPAF Harness

When working at heights, it is always important to work with the right personal protective equipment (PPE) and the appropriate safety harness to avoid accidents. For this purpose, the correct safety harness and associated equipment must be selected, inspected, and used safely in order to work safely on mobile elevating work platforms or scaffoldings.

During this half-day IPAF MEWP training course, you will learn how to choose the right safety harness including equipment for working at height, and how to properly inspect, use, maintain, and store it. The IPAF training course consists of a theoretical and a practical part. At the end of the training, the knowledge of the participants is being tested. After having successfully completed the training, each participants will receive a certificate. Participants who have completed the IPAF Operator training course will also receive the PAL card.

• Health and safety regulations, guidelines, norms
• Hazard and risk analysis
• Safely working at height
• Different types of safety harnesses, lanyards, and connections
• Inspection of safety harnesses and lanyards; documentation of inspections
• Consequences of damage
• Falling height
• Fall protection
• Putting on and adjusting safety harnesses
• Usage and anchor point
• Maintenance and storage

Practice:

• Putting on a safety harness
• Fitting the straps
• Adjusting the straps

Good to know

If you want to receive the PAL card, you must first successfully complete the IPAF Operator training course. In addition to the IPAF Harness Use and Inspection training course, we also offer the Personal Protective Equipment against Fall training course according to DGUV regulations in Germany or according to the health and safety law (Arbo-wet) in the Netherlands.
